Welcome to Potomac Parent!

Gayle and I built this site to be a resource for parents like us who are living and rasing kids in the Washington DC area. We wanted to have a place where we could go to learn about upcoming events, find new places to take the kids on rainy days or sunny ones, and interact with other parents in the area who we knew were experiencing some of the same joys and challenges we were with our family.

This site is a community, and we hope you find it to be a place that is warm and welcoming. We need your help in making it better, and in keeping the information on the site fresh.
